What is Organizational DNA?

Transforming Leadership has discovered that we can change lives by changing organizations. To fulfill that mission Organizational DNA has developed tools for assessing the Core Values of an organization, and aiding the organization in closing the gap between their Core Values Statement and their Demonstrated Core Values. As a step in the Organizational DNA process, we have the opportunity to help individuals clearly identify their critical Core Values. The My DNA Workspace was created as a tool to help in that critical "internal" development. Organizational DNA is committed to improving the effectiveness, and health, of both organizations and individuals through the identification and alignment of Core Values.

Value of the My DNA Workspace

While we all have some idea of what kind of person we want to be, morally, professionally, and personally, few of us have actually clearly identified the specific characteristics that would define that person. Core Values are the values we use to determine our behavior; they are the values by which we make decisions. Our true Core Values, what we call My DNA, are what determine how we act and how we appear to ourselves and to those around us.

The My DNA Workspace guides the user in the identification of specific Core Values, and the crafting of a Core Values Statement that is personal and valuable to the user. A Professional Coach guided careful examination of these self-identified Core Values is used to generate a Personal Development plan that the participant may use for continual growth and development. An individual's Core Values, their My DNA, are the very values that define both WHO I AM, and WHO I WANT TO BE.

The Core Values identification process and the Personal Development plan, memorialized with the personalized My DNA poster, are inspirational tools every leader needs to help us remember WHO WE ARE, and WHO WE WANT TO BE.
